The Bugatti Veyron is powered by a massive 8.0 liter W16 64v 2xDOHC quad-turbocharged petrol engine, which is developing a total output of 1.001 horsepower. The engine is allowing the hyper car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.46 seconds, while the 0 to 240 km/h acceleration is being done in 9.8 seconds and the model can accelerate from 0 to 400 km/h in 50 seconds. The quarter mile is over in 10.2 seconds at 230 km/h (142.9 mph) and its average fuel consumption is 18 l/100km or 13 mpg US.
