The migthy Bugatti Veyron has been put against a newer hypercar, the Porsche 918 Spyder, in a drag race recently.
Well, a drag race is not enough said because the two vehicles have went head-to-head a few times and the winner was obvious. We have to be spoilers and tell you that the Porche 918 Spyder is actually no match for the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport but, my God, it does stand impressively close to it and the driver factor plays a main role here. Scroll down and click the play button in order to see the epic drag race.
The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is packing an 8.0 liter quad turbocharged W16 engine under its hood, which is capable of producing a total output of 1,184 HP (883 kW). This is enough to allow it to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.2 seconds and to go all the way up to 431 km/h (268 mph). The Porsche 918 Spyder, however, couldn’t be any more different as it has a smaller 4.6 liter V8 engine under its hood, naturally aspirated, backed up by two electric motors. The total output produced is 887 HP (661 kW) and 1,275 Nm (940 lb-ft) of torque, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration made in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 340 km/h (210 mph).
