An epic drag race between a Ferrari LaFerrari and a Bugatti Veyron has recently took place and you might be surprised by the winner and the difference between the acceleration of the two hypercars.
Petrol heads, gather around, grab a chair and open a bag of chips because we have found your next conversation piece, a video in which a drag race between the iconic Bugatti Veyron and the impressive Ferrari LaFerrari. We won’t be spoilers and tell you which car managed to win the quarter mile race but you will be very surprised in it, considering the fact that it hasn’t been one of those “nose to nose” finishes.
The Bugatti Veyron has been in production since 2005 and it gave birth to several special editions, which included the Grand Sport, the Super Sport and the Grand Sport Vitesse, amongst others. The model is offered in two body styles, 2-door coupe and 2-door targa top, with a longitudinal mid-engine and permanent all-wheel drive. The standard engine in the hypercar is an 8.0 liter W16 quad turbocharged, which is good for 1,200 HP and the Grand Sport Vitesse.
The Ferrari LaFerrari on the other hand is a hybrid supercar, produced in Maranello. The model has been shown back in 2013 at the Geneva Motor Show and it has a 2-door Berlinetta body style, a rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout. Power is coming from the 6.3 liter V12 engine and an electric motor, producing a total of 950 HP (708 kW) and 950 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque.
