The Bugatti Veyron has recently been raced against a modified Nissan GT-R at DragTimes in Palm Beach International Raceway.
Two of the hottest cars ever, the mighty Bugatti Veyron and the powerful Nissan GT-R have recently been raced in a drag race, and even if this didn’t seem like a fair battle, the Japanese vehicle had been modified, but we still don’t know more about it. The million euro car is a marvelous piece of engineering but even so, the Nissan GT-R had been beaten by only 0.8 of a second, proving that Japanese really know how to build cars. The Veyron ended the quarter mile race after 10.175 seconds at 139 mph and the GT-R finished 0.8 seconds later, at DragTimes, in Palm Beach at the International Raceway.
The standard Nissan GT-R is powered by a 3.8 liter V6 engine which is developing a total output of more than 500 horsepower, offering the sports car a 0 to 62 mph acceleration of just 2.7 seconds, while the Bugatti Veyron takes its power from a massive 8.0 liter W16 64v 2xDOHC quad-turbocharged petrol engine, generating 1.001 horsepower and making the vehicle accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.46 seconds, with the quarter mile being done at 230 km/h (142.9 mph).
