Cadillac has officially confirmed a brand new V6 engine for the upcoming CT6 flagship, which will be presented to the public next month, during the 2015 New York Auto Show.
The North American based automaker Cadillac is getting closer and close to officially pulling the wraps off the brand new CT6, but until that will happen, the company will continue to release teaser images and videos with the upcoming flagship. The newest teaser video is highlighting its engine, the 3.0 liter V6, twin turbo, which will be adopted by the model in question. This is said to offer up to 400 HP and 400 lb-ft of torque, being connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The new unit is getting the standard cylinder deactivation technology and stop/start.
The brand new Cadillac CT6 will be positioned between models such as the BMW 5-Series and BMW 7-Series, standing above the current CTS but not being exactly a rival for the S-Class, 7-Series and A8. The model will also be introduced in Europe too, but this will happen at the end of 2015 or even in early next year, following its U.S. launch. The flagship model will be also packing a V8 engine under its hood, as recent reports were indicating, and these units may be joined by a hybrid version, in the near future. The Cadillac CT6 will be officially unveiled at the 2015 New York Auto Show, in early April. More details on it are limited at this time.
