The new flagship sedan from Cadillac, the CT6, has been partially revealed recently during an ad which aired during the 2015 Oscars.
The 2015 Oscars were really the last thing where we’d expected to find a brand new vehicle which hasn’t been officially unveiled but Cadillac has taken us all by surprise and has partially reveal the new flagship sedan, the CT6, which is expected to be officially presented to the public sometimes next month, during the 2015 New York Auto Show, in a premiere. The new Cadillac CT6 will go on sale in the fourth quarter of this year and it will be put together at the Detroit Hamtramck Assembly plant in Michigan, where the carmaker has invested 300 million USD.
The 2016 Cadillac CT6 will be the carmaker’s flagship model and it will be sitting above the current ATS and CTS and rumor has it that its name should have been the LTS. The model in question will not be rivaling the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the Audi A8 or the BMW 7-Series but it will be sitting between these and the E-Class, the A6 and the 5-Series. Cadillac isn’t denying a future model to sit above the current CT6 but until that will happen, the model in question will be taking its power from a new V8 engine, which will sit along the usual six-cylinder range. More details on the new Cadillac CT6 are limited for the moment and will probably be announced during the 2015 New York Auto Show, in late March.
