Cadillac has released a new commercial for the 2014 ELR, which is presenting the model in question in a whole new light.
Some prestigious publications have shattered the new Cadillac ELR, stating that you’re way better off ordering a vehicle like the Tesla Model S, but the North American based automaker wants to prove that this is one hot ride to own. The 2014 Cadillac ELR has been officially presented to the public just last years and it’s coming as a two-door coupe plug-in hybrid compact vehicle. The model in question is being assembled in Detroit and it’s riding on the GM Delta II platform. Caddy says that it’s using a 16.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which is allowing it to reach an all electric top speed of 100 mph and a range of 36 miles. The 0 to 60 mph sprint takes 7.8 seconds and top speed stands at 106 mph. Charging the ELR takes 12 hours from a 120-volt outlet.
Even if GM is going through a recall that involves 30 million cars, its sales are turning up quite well. General Motors crossovers are up 26%, the SUVs – 32% and the vans – 65%, making General Motors have its best July sales since 2007.
