Cadillac has recently released a new promotional video with the ELR, which should help increase the model’s sales and it might just do that.
The North American based automaker Cadillac is trying to increased the sold units of the recently unveiled ELR but that may turn out to be trickier than before, considering the fact that this vehicle has received a lot of negative reviews. The carmaker’s strategy into attracting more customers to the ELR is the releasing of a new promotional video, in this case. The EL has been officially presented to the public back in 2013 and it’s currently being assembled in Detroit.
The model in question is a two-door coupe plug-in hybrid compact vehicle, which is coming with a retuned version of the powertrain found on the Chevrolet Volt, along with the 16.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, providing an electric range of 36 miles and a top speed of 100 mph. The 0 to 60 mph sprint takes 7.8 seconds and top speed stands at 106 mph. Charging the battery on the Cadillac ELR takes from 4.5 hours, using a 240-volt outlet, to 12 hours, on a 120-volt outlet. The asking price of the ELR stands at just over 75,000 USD.
