A few videos with the brand new Borgward BX7 have been officially released by the car brand.
After it was introduced at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, in a world premiere, the brand new Borgward BX7 is being placed into the spotlights once again. The model in question has been created by Borgward in collaboration with Foton Motor from China and it stands at 4.7 meters in length, bringing a total cargo capacity, with the second and third row of seats folded down, of 1,344 liters.
The cabin of the brand new crossover can seat up to seven people and it is bringing a 12.3-inch touch screen display on the modern infotainment system, leather upholstery, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, a large display in the instrument cluster flanked by old fashioned dials and several other goodies which should make this vehicle quite appreciated amongst its future buyers.
Under the hood, the brand new Borgward BX7 is bringing a 2.0 liter turbocharged gasoline burner. The unit is capable of producing a total of 224 HP (165 kW) and 300 Nm (222 lb-ft) of torque, being connected to a dual clutch transmission which is sending power to the all-wheel drive. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), this version needs less than 10 seconds and top speed stands at 200 km/h (124 mph). The same engine, along with an electric motor, will be used in the hybrid version, which will be producing 401 HP (295 kW) and it will allow the model to travel on electric power alone for up to 55 km (34 miles).
