A new video released onto the web is showing us the impressive Lamborghini Asterion hybrid supercar at display at the 2015 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.
Lake Como shores in Italy have witnessed one of the hottest automotive events this weekend in the shape of the 2015 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este and if you were curious of checking out the impressive Lamborghini Asterion, you have come to the right place because the clip posted below is doing just that. Besides showing it on display, the footage is also revealing the engine start and some driving. Keep in mind that the Asterion has a pretty good chance of becoming a rival for the Ferrari LaFerrari, for the Porsche 918 Spyder and the McLaren P1, if it will eventually hit the assembly line.
The situation of the Lamborghini Asterion is not sure at this time but we will remind you that this has made its public debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, in a world premiere, last fall. The one-off hybrid supercar is taking aim at the above mentioned models but a production version hasn’t been confirmed at this time. The 5.2 liter V10 naturally aspirated engine from the Huracan is found under its hood, producing 610 HP, backed up by no less than three electric motors, which are generating an extra 300 HP. The total output is 910 HP (669 kW) and this needs less than 3 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph), being capable of going up to 320 km/h (199 mph). In electric mode, it can be driven at speeds up to 125 km/h (78 mph) for 50 km.
