The French based automaker Renault has recently released the first video with the brand new Twin’Run Concept, where the model is being shown in action.
The Renault Twin’Run is considered a modern preview of the iconic Renault 5 Turbo but rather than coming with an impressive engine under its hood, the model will probably drop some horses and be transformed into the future generation of the Twingo. The Renault Twin’Run Concept is powered by a 3.5 liter engine from the Megane Trophy, producing 316 HP (235 kW) at 6,800 rpm and 379 Nm of torque (280 lb-ft), available at 4,850 rpm.
The engine is mid-mounted and its mated to a six-speed sequential transmission and a limited slip differential, sending power to the rear wheels. The o to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is done in just 4.5 seconds and top speed stands at 250 km/h (155 mph). The two-seater concept weighs just 950 kg (2,094 lbs) and it is 3,680 mm long, 1,750 mm wide and 1,493 mm tall. The Twin’Run sits on 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin tires.
