A new video with the Porsche 911 GT3 (991) has been released by the German based automaker, highlighting what is going on in the test facility.
Are you a Porsche fan with a strange love on the 911 GT3? Well, if the answer is yes, than we might have found your next conversation story, because the German based automaker is showing what is happening in the test facility of the performance model. This is the second similar video released by Porsche recently, after we have seen how a 918 Spyder comes to life.
The Porsche 911 GT3 is being assembled in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen and it had some tough times over the years considering the fact that back in 2014, in March, the company had to recall 785 units to replace their engines, because of some problems with the connecting rod fasteners. This is unacceptable on a car that costs 137,303 euros, on its homeland, so critics were pretty severe, but they didn’t manage to affect the sales of the sports car.
As you probably already know by now, the Porsche 911 GT3 has a 3.8 liter six-cylinder boxer engine under its hood, which is capable of producing 475 HP (349 kW) and 438 Nm (324 lb-ft) of torque, sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the model needs 3.5 seconds and top speed stands at 315 km/h (195 mph). A hotter version, the 911 GT3 RS, is in the works, and it should be introduced in a couple of months, in Geneva.
