The Japanese based automaker Toyota has officially presented to the public the Chinese version of the Yaris, during the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show.
The Chinese version of the Toyota Yaris has been officially unveiled in Shanghai and the model has been specifically designed for the Asian country. The model is coming with many aesthetic updates and it’s based on the third generation of the Toyota Vios Sedan, but it’s shorter in both length and height. The new Chinese-spec Toyota Yaris is 4, 113 mm long, 1,700 mm wide and 1,440 mm tall, and it’s riding on a 2,550 mm long wheelbase.
Toyota says that the Chinese version of the Yaris will also receive a sedan, which is actually the Vios, but the new model won’t make its way onto the market anytime sooner than the end of this year. The Chinese-spec Toyota Yaris will also be put into production over the following months. Additional details on the model remain unknown for the moment and will be announced close to its launch. Besides the Yaris, Toyota has also brought the Yundong Shuangqing II concept to the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, along with the FT-HT Yuejia concept.
