Chris Harris has went for a spin recently in the Lexus RC F in order to find out whether this performance coupe is as good as the carmaker says.
Are you on the lookout for a new performance four-door coupe which can also be used as a family car (if you have a very small family, at least)? Well, if you are, than the Lexus RC F is probably on your list too, along with the BMW M4 Coupe. But with the German vehicle there are a lot of reviews on the web and this cannot be said on its Japanese rival, so when Chris Harris decided to take it for a spin in front of cameras, you want to know what he has to say about it.
The Lexus RC F is packing an aggressive exterior body kit and it is also getting the high performance braking system which has been created by Brembo, an active rear spoiler, LED headlights, a sport tuned suspension system, 19-inch forged alloy wheels, infotainment system in the cabin, heated and ventilated front seats, GPS navigation system and several other goodies which should make it a true player. Under the hood, the Lexus RC F is packing in a 5.0 liter V8 engine, which is capable of producing a total output of 450 HP (335 kW) and a peak torque of 518 Nm (383 lb-ft). The unit is connected to an 8-speed Sports Direct Shift transmission which is allowing it to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 270 km/h (168 mph).
