Chris Harris has recently went for a quick spin in the recently unveiled McLaren 650S, as the order book has opened and press drives have been taking place.
Amongst the first ones to get behind the wheel of the latest McLaren, the 650S, is Drive’s Chris Harris, who couldn’t help himself and provided an interesting footage which also includes plenty of smoke and sideways action. But besides the fun had inside the McLaren 650S, Chris Harris has also provided some technical information on the supercar, along with new technologies which have been incorporated into it, also talking about the 25 HP and 80 Nm power boost.
The McLaren 650S has been officially presented to the public back in March, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The model in question has a 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine, derived from the MP4-12C and also used on the P1. The total output produced stands at 651 HP (478 kW) and 678 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 3.0 seconds and top speed stands at 330 km/h (207 mph). You can check out Chris Harris’ review of the McLaren 650S below.
