Our favorite automotive journalist Chris Harris has recently went for a spin in the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG.
The Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG has been crowed to be the king of hot hatches, order thanks to its impressive engine. But is it really that good or simply the classic “love it or hate it” situation? Well, this is a tough question to answer when it comes to hot hatches but Chris Harris has definitely come to a conclusion. You can check out his review of the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG in the video posted below.
The German based brand has performed a series of modifications on the A45 AMG for the 2016 model year. The vehicle in question has been facelifted and it is bringing new front and rear bumpers, different lighting units and some upgrades made to the cabin. However, if you are not a Mercedes fan, chances are you won’t be able to spot the differences between this and the previous version.
The hot hatch has also received the DYNAMIC SELECT driving modes, allowing the driver to select between Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual modes, the new mechanical front axle locking differential, a modified 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and an AMG RIDE CONTROL sport suspension system, amongst others. Under its hood we can find the 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which has been tweaked in order to produce 381 HP (280 kW) and 475 Nm (351 lb-ft) of torque. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the 2016 A45 AMG needs 4.2 seconds.
