Chris Harris has taken the impressive McLaren P1 for a quick drive on the street in order to find out what it is like to actually live with it.
Everyone’s favorite automotive journalist Chris Harris has recently went for a spin in the McLaren P1 and it has chosen the streets in order to find out what it is like to live with the hypercar. To kickoff the video, Chris Harris has brought it to the Angelsey Circuit in North Wales but it is really the second part of the video that you may want to check out, considering the fact that we all know that the P1 is in a league of its own, on the track, along with its two main rivals, the Ferrari LaFerrari and the Porsche 918 Spyder.
The McLaren P1 is the company’s first attempt at a hybrid supercar and it has been officially unveiled at the same time with the Ferrari LaFerrari, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The Porsche 918 Spyder came in, six months later, at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in its final production version. The McLaren P1 is the most exclusive out of the three, as it is being made in just 375 units, while the LaFerrari will be made in 499 units and the 918 Spyder in 918 units. Power is being provided by a 3.8 liter twin turbo unit, which has been updated and it is backed up by an electric motor, producing a total output of 903 HP and 978 Nm of torque.
