The range topping version of the Jaguar F-Type R has entered Chris Harris’ hands recently.
Chris Harris has went for a spin in the Jaguar F-Type R, the hottest version of the model. The full review of the sports car can be seen below, right after the jump, and if you thought that this has no draw backs, think again, because, surprisingly, he did find quite a few faults with it but that didn’t stop him to make a couple of statements which we didn’t expect.
The Jaguar F-Type R is packing a 5.0 liter supercharged V8 petrol engine under its hood, which is capable of producing a total output of 542 HP (405 kW), at 6,500 rpm. The peak torque of the unit stands at 680 Nm (502 lb-ft), available between 2,500 rpm and 5,500 rpm. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the sports car can accelerate in four and a half seconds and its top speed stands at 299 km/h (186 mph). It has an 8-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. The fuel economy stands at 25.5 mpg (UK) and the CO2 emissions stop at 259 g/km.
