Christian von Koenigsegg has went to the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance where he talked about the new Agera R at Jay Leno’s garage.
Koenigsegg has unveiled the Agera R in a world premiere earlier this year at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show and it also announced that the supercar will be launched in the United States too, but now the model is ending up in our news once again, with the company’s founder, Christian von Koenigsegg, talking about it at Jay Leno’s garage, during the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
The new Koenigsegg Agera R takes its power from a large 5.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine, which is developing a total output of 1,115 HP and 885 lb-ft of torque when running on E85 fuel, but when the tank will be filled with 95 octane gasoline, only 940 HP will be produced, along with 811 lb-ft of torque. The Koenigsegg Agera R can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 240 mph. The Agera R is weighing just 2,932 lbs, which gives it a power-to-weight ratio of 790 HP per ton.
