Christian von Koenigsegg has went into details on his latest creation, the Koenigsegg One:1, which will become the world’s fastest production supercar.
The guys at Drive are continuing their “Inside” series with an entry to the Koenigsegg factory where they have spoken to none other than Christian von Koenigsegg on his latest supercar, the Koenigsegg One:1. This has been described as the world’s first “megacar” and it’s close to shattering the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport’s land speed record, becoming the world’s fastest production supercar. In the video posted below you can see the Koenigsegg One:1 preparing for its debut and the owner of the company talking about it.
The Koenigsegg One:1 has been officially presented to the public during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, last month, in a world premiere. The supercar is packing a 5.0 liter V8 aluminum engine under its hood. The total output produced by the unit stands at an impressive 1,341 HP (986 kW) and 1,371 Nm (1,011 lb-ft) of torque, available at 6,000 rpm. The One:1 is weighing exactly 1,341 kg which is where its name comes from (power to weight ratio). The supercar can reach a top speed of 450 km/h.
