The Romanian based automaker Dacia has recently released a couple of videos with the all-new Lodgy MPV, detailing its features.
The new Dacia Lodgy has been officially presented to the public at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, but the MPV has been highlighted once again, this time with the “help” of two official videos which are detailing the Romanian vehicle. As you can see from the two videos posted below, Dacia is “explaining” how the space can be used by passengers and cargo in the first one, while the second footage is showing us the new MediaNav navigation system.
The all-new Dacia Lodgy is 4.5 meters long and the model can be configured in five or seven seats, with the luggage compartment offering from 207 liters to 827 liters of space, but if the lower seats are folded, the gap grows to 2,617 liters. The cabin design on the Dacia Lodgy has been significantly upgraded compared to other models in the range, like the Sandero hatchback, Logan sedan or even the Duster SUV, and in another premiere, the MPV is coming with a 7-inch touch screen navigation system, Bluetooth, radio, USB, AUX connectivity, steering wheel controls for the audio system and many other interesting things. Dacia is also offering, for an extra 300 euros, the MEDIA NAV multimedia and navigation system.
Under the hood, the Dacia Lodgy MPV will come, in a third premiere, with a turbocharged petrol engine, a 1.2 liter unit which will generate 115 horsepower, which will be offered along with the 1.6 liter 85 HP version. Diesel lovers will have to choose from the 1.5 dCi unit in two outputs, 90 HP and 110 HP. Whether or not this is will be the end of the Renault Scenic and if Dacia will bury a model made by its mother brand, we will have to wait and see.
