[VIDEO] Dacia Lodgy gets 5-star rating at Euro NCAP
The Dacia Lodgy MPV has recently scored a 3-star safety rating during the recent Euro NCAP crash tests.
Bad news for those of you who are looking into buying the new MPV signed by Dacia, the Lodgy, because the model has recently scored an overall 3-star safety rating during the recent Euro NCAP crash tests. The Dacia Lodgy is the only model in this recent testing session not to score a maximum 5-star rating. In the front impact test, the A-pillar was severely deformed and the roof was bended near the B-pillar. The overall score in adult occupant protection stands at 72 percent or 26 points.
In the rear impact test, the neck has received a “poor” score. In the side impact test, the adult occupant’s chest is “marginal” and “weak” and the lowest score was received in the Safety Assist, where the ESC (Electronic Stability Control) and Speed Limitation Assistance lead to an overall score of 29 percent (2p). Children aren’t safe in the Dacia Lodgy either (72 percent / 38p) and if you’re a pedestrian (44 percent / 16p) and you see the Romanian MPV coming down the road, run and don’t look back. The tested model was a equipped with the 1.5 dCi diesel engine, in the Laureate trim level.
