Another incident involving the impressive McLaren P1 has been recorded on camera and it’s showing a damaged unit of the supercar hiding under a cover.
Just a week ago, we were presenting you with the first ever recorded crash which involved a McLaren P1 and today, another unit of the British hybrid supercar is ending up in our news, with the same “problem”. The footage posted below is showing some minor damages which were made to the P1 and if we should stick to statistics, this is the second one recorded, which will need a makeover in order to return to its former glory.
The McLaren P1 is the company’s first hybrid supercar and it’s rivaling the Porsche 918 Spyder and the Ferrari LaFerrari. The model has been officially unveiled, in its final production form, last year, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The P1 is being assembled in Woking, Surrey, England, and it’s being offered in a two-door coupe body style. Power is provided by a 3.8 liter V8 twin turbo and by an electric motor, which are producing a total output of 903 HP and 978 Nm. The unit is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission which is sending power to the rear wheels.
