The newly revived Datsun brand has officially unveiled a concept car, during the 2014 New Delhi Auto Expo, in India, which is known as the redi-GO Concept.
Datsun has already launched its first vehicle, the GO, after its revival and now, almost one year later, the company is planning to introduce its second model. The vehicle in question will be a production small crossover which is currently being previewed by the newly unveiled redi-GO Concept, which was brought to the 2014 New Delhi Auto Expo. The model, in its final production form, is expected to be aimed towards India and other emerging markets.
The new Datsun redi-GO Concept is basically a five-door hatchback, with an increased ride height and the ruggedness normally found in a crossover or small SUV. The model is riding on 15-inch alloy wheels and, thanks to the 2,350 mm long wheelbase, it can accommodate up to five people. The Datsun redi-GO Concept has been finished in a lime green exterior body paint, which is contrasted by the matte aluminum grey bumper inserts, side sills and wheel arches. The production model is believed to establish a new segment in India. More details on it remain unknown for the moment.
