[VIDEO] David Coulthard drives the Renault Twin’Run Concept on the track
Ex Formula 1 driver David Coulthard has recently taken the Renault Twin’Run Concept for a quick spin on the track.
Planete GT has uploaded a video in which David Coulthard is driving the Renault Twin’Run Concept on the Paul Ricard track. The ex Formula 1 driver seems to be coming back into the media’s attention and just a couple of weeks ago, he has went behind the wheel in a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series at Goodwood. The Twin’Run Concept has been unveiled by Renault last year. It has a tubular chasiss, fiber glass body panels and a front splitter, roof and rear vent made from carbon fiber.
This is a two-seater concept which is taking its power form the 3.5 liter V6 engine, which has been mid-mounted, and it’s producing 316 HP (235 kW) at 6,800 rpm and 379 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque, at 4,850 rpm. The model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and it has a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). The cabin of the one-off vehicle has race spec harnesses, Sparco seats, sequential handbrake and gear levers and more. It is riding on 18-inch alloy wheels. Rumors are saying that some of the bits and pieces of the one-off model will be carried over onto the next-gen Twingo.
