Prepare your PCs or consoles, because there’s some dirty action coming up this summer – in the form of DiRT 4 coming for the PC, Xbox One, and PS4 platforms on June 6.

About a year ago the acclaimed video game developer Codemasters introduced DiRT Rally and now getting ready for a completely new installment. Darren Hayward, the game’s designer, even hinted at the possibility of porting the game to Nintendo Switch, though such a version would need “quite a lot in terms of extra tweaks” for the new Nintendo console – so it’s arguably not coming very soon. Codemasters was also quick to release some in-game screenshots to get everyone worked out about DiRT 4.

In addition, truck and buggy racing are set to be implemented in the new game, so the best features of DiRT Rally and DiRT 2 as well as DiRT 3 will be readily available. Other novelties include the official license of the FIA World Rallycross Championship and will even include crosskarts. Apparently the selling point for the new game – aside from tweaks coming from Petter Solberg and Kris Meeke – is the new “game-changing system” called “Your Stage” – allowing players to create “an almost-infinite number of unique stages.” And best of all – these creations will be readily available through online sharing.
