A new video uploaded onto the web is showing the drag race between two impressive rides, the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and the Viper TA.
It’s not that long since Dodge has officially introduced the Challenger SRT Hellcat and more and more videos with the muscle car are ending up on the web, revealing some impressive drag races against more expensive models. One of these is showing the two-door vehicle going up against the Viper TA and the result is not that impressive, considering the fact that we are talking about the most powerful production muscle car up to date.
The Dodge Viper TA is getting the dual mode suspension system, orange brake calipers, five-mode ESC, performance brake pads, 18- and 19-inch matte black alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires and it is packing an 8.4 liter V10 engine under its hood, which is capable of generating 645 HP (481 kW) and 814 Nm (600 lb-ft) of torque, connected to the 6-speed manual transmission. Prices for the model are set at 107,995 USD.
The Challenger SRT Hellcat starts from just 60,000 USD and it has a 6.2 liter V8 engine under its hood, the same one used on the Charger SRT Hellcat too. The unit is producing a total output of 707 HP (527 kW) and it has a peak torque of 880 Nm (650 lb-ft), enabling the ride to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 4 seconds and ensuring a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).
