A 60-year old woman has been caught by the state troopers after drunk driving on the wrong side of the highway at speeds up to 100 mph (160 km/h).
Being a state trooper in the United States is enough to make you feel like winning the lottery if you get to retire and this latest incident caught by cameras is a good example to the statement. A 60-year old driver named Pamela Drawsby has been caught by the police after driving on the wrong side of the Interstate 5 highway in Washington. The woman had given the state troopers a hard time but the officers managed to catch her and when they did, they found out that she was also drunk, besides doing 100 mph (160 km/h) on the wrong side of the road.
“I didn’t even realize he was on my side of the road until he almost hit me. I almost had a heart attack”, said a 911 caller. “I’m headed south; she’s headed north”, said another one, followed soon by yet another call: “They’re going full speed, like, over 60 miles per hour”.
Pamela Drawsby, the drunken driver, failed to respond to the sirens, spotlights and loudspeakers of the state troopers who had to shut down the highway in order to catch her. The woman was arrested for DUI and other offences.
