The DS E-Tense concept was quite one of the biggest attractions at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March, with the electric sports coupe reportedly packing a 402 hp green powertrain.
Still, with so many concepts and show cars out there, it never crossed our minds the model presented in Switzerland was anything more than a hollow display unit previewing the future design directions of the brand. But a recent video has it spotted in Paris – and in the near future we might even see it better as it was actually involved in a shoot, as hinted by the camera crew in a DS3 Cabrio following it. The concept should have inside a powertrain good for 402 horsepower (300 kilowatts) and 381 pound-feet (516 Newton meters). Thanks to it DS Automobiles says it’s capable of reaching 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.5 seconds, with a good 192 miles (310 km) all-electric range when considering the European combined cycle.
Of course the luxurious coupe is not on the streets of Paris out and about showcasing those good figures – it instead cruises through traffic looking like a tourist enjoying the weekend trip. While the DS E-Tense looks decidedly cool and futuristic when superimposed among the rest of modern cars, we’re not holding our breath for DS entering production – though we’re hoping the crew filming and post-processing the footage from the DS3 Cabrio will be professionals and release their work very fast.
