If you live in parts of the world where cars are a regular asset, chances are you do know what an express wash means – a place where you go with your car dirty and you come out clean in a few minutes time.
Well, in the modern world even minutes are sometimes a luxury we can’t afford – so here we have a video about the basic principles of how to get a really speedy Express Wash – though if you do try this we are warning further expenses may incur and the car will remain dirty. So, here it goes: take on elderly driver from California, who could very well be now the record holder for the quickest “actual car wash” job ever. It appears the guy – aged 94 – owns an Oldsmobile (we’re sure the pun is unintended) Alero and decided to pace it at full speed through the car wash – yes, we do realize the footage is quite old – but even after repeated views you’ll see it never grows tired.
By the way, the man rammed the inside of the car wash at an estimated speed of 40 mph (65 km/h), and since the employees were not in on the record drive one of them almost got run over. Since there is no location currently equipped to deliver very quick express washes it also suffered damage – estimated at anywhere between $60,000 and $100,000. And yes, since it got momentum, the parking job was also assisted via the additional crash. No records here though, we saw plenty of those.
