The team at Jay Leno’s Garage has recently extracted the engine from the McLaren F1 owned by the American talk show host.
The McLaren F1 is still one very hot ride to own, despite the British carmaker presented its successor, the hybrid P1, and it this new video coming from Jay Leno’s Garage, you can see the talk show host talk a few moments about the engine of the supercar. The unit has been extracted from the F1 but the video posted below isn’t showing the actual process.
As a quick reminder, the McLaren F1 has been produced between 1996 and 1998 in just 106 units. The model has been assembled in England and it came as a two-door coupe, with a rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive. The supercar is powered by a 6.1 liter V12 engine, which is good for 618 HP (461 kW) at 7,400 rpm, and it has a peak torque of 480 lb-ft (651 Nm) at 5,600 rpm. The redline rev limiter is set at 7,500 rpm. The model is expected to be sold for 4.5 million EUR.
