The Citroen C4 Cactus, the newest edition to the European range of the company, has managed to score just four stars during the recent Euro NCAP crash tests.
Citroen’s entry to the C-segment for crossovers, the C4 Cactus, has obtained a total of four Euro NCAP stars, out of a possible five. According to the safety specialists, the model in question has scored 82 percent in the Adult Occupant protection, 79 percent in the Child Occupant Protection, 80 percent in Pedestrian Safety and just 56 percent in the Safety Assist category.
Problems have been spotted in the Side Pole impact, where the vehicle has obtained 6.8 points and the chest of the dummy has been rated at “Marginal”. The Whiplash Protection was rated “Good”. In the Child Occupant safety, the crash test performance was rated with 20.2 points and the child safety features with 7.0 points. In the Pedestrian safety, problems have been seen with the lower and side parts of the windshields, which were rated as “Poor”. The tested car was a Citroen C4 Cactus 1.2 FEEL, weighing 965 kg.
