The British automotive journalists from Auto Express have recently taken out for a spin the European version of the Jeep Cherokee.
Originally unveiled back in February and presented to the public during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the European version of the Jeep Cherokee is now entering our news once again, this time with the help of a test drive, which has been signed by Auto Express. The model in question is looking basically identical to the American version but it’s being sold on the Old Continent with a 2.0 liter four-cylinder MultiJet II turbo diesel and with two petrol engines.
The diesel burner is producing either 140 HP and 350 Nm of torque or 170 HP and 350 Nm of torque. The less powerful version has a 6-speed manual transmission and the other has a new 9-speed automatic. The 3.2 liter V6 Pentastar is coming with 271 HP (202 kW) and 315 Nm (232 lb-ft) of torque and the Tigershark MultiAir I-4 2.4 liter unit will become available in Russia and in the Middle East. Prices for the Jeep Cherokee have been set from 34,800 euros in Europe and the top of the line model comes from 48,000 euros.
