The German automaker has recently released a new marketing stunt for the newly revealed new generation S5 Sportback, playing on the old “woman in rage” saying – which is not a saying at all, but a fact.
Old and carefully preserved records are smashed and thrown in the swimming pool, wedding photos adorn the floor, models smashed, soccer balls slashed, expensive liquor goes down the “drain” and then her wrath engulfs the car keys – and she picks a golf club – we have visions of Taylor Swift already. While the garage doors open, they slowly reveal the beautifully new Audi S5 Sportback which is nice, and for driving and not smashing… and the tale has a happy ending, for the car we mean. So she takes the car and goes off into the sunset looking for a new life – most likely far and away from the deceiving husband.
She has the means to do it – of course, if she remembered to take on the guys’ credit cards for gasoline trip money. The S5 displays under the hood the new 3.0-liter, turbocharged V6 engine, which packs 354 horsepower (260 kilowatts) and 369 pound-feet (500 Newton meters) of torque. It all reaches the tarmac via the eight-speed automatic gearbox and Quattro four-wheel-drive, with the sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) resolved in a mere 4.7 seconds, and the top speed at the usual limit of 155 mph (250 km/h).
