Last year Microsoft regaled players the Forza Motorsport 6, and now the company aims to keep the wannabe race drivers on their toes in the open world of automotive events that can be explored in the upcoming Forza Horizon 3.
Developed for the Xbox One and Windows 10, the game will arrive on September 27 and the newest installment in the franchise is going to get us travelling to Australia, with the Outback kicking off the off-road action extravaganza. The game’s new E3 trailer gives us a taste of the action to come. There will be some 350 available vehicles, with the trailer depicting models like trophy trucks, dune buggies, an Ariel Nomad, and even a Lamborghini Centenario.
Gamers will also have plenty of travel duties thanks to the open world concept. The map itself appears to be twice the size of the one found in the predecessor in the Horizon series. Added replay value comes from the possibility of modifying the racing routes, placing restrictions on the entrants, and then taking them online for the shared and brand new online events. While months away from the start of sales, Microsoft has already opened the order books, with the standard version at $59.99. The more enticing Ultimate Edition costs $99.99 and brings early access from September 23, a pack of downloadable vehicles, and immediate access to the car packs as the developer introduces them.
