With the conclusion of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the 2017 Formula 1 season is now officially over, meaning the stars of the racing series are – for a while – free to pursuit other automotive interests.
For example, Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo, who abandoned the race taking place in the second largest city in the United Arab Emirates due to a hydraulic problem around the hallway point, now has a chance to tell us what he’s been up to. And we’re certainly interested, since prior to the actual race he was also among the first people not affiliated with Aston Martin that got the chance to play with and test the all-new 2018 Aston Martin Vantage. The brand was of course on point to shoot an official promo, showing us the Australian driver in the new Vantage as he drove to the Yas Marina circuit along with F1 icon driver and commentator Martin Brundle.
Apparently he’s among the first people in the world that got the chance to drive the Vantage, Ricciardo taking a short but sweet review that states how fast and punchy, along with an amazing sound, as the traits for the new Vantage following his first drive. The new Vantage is fast – 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) is ready in 3.6 seconds, but according to a video on YouTube it’s not going to be his Aston of choice – as the 28-year-old driver is actually buying a… Valkyrie.
