The first trailer with the 2016 Mercedes-Benz A-Class has been released and it is showing the high-performance version of the model, along with the regular variants.
Mercedes-Benz has performed an updated for the current A-Class generation which has received a slightly updated front fascia, some tweaks made to the rear and some modifications made in the cabin. Let’s not forget the engine lineup which has been updated too but if you were hoping to catch a glimpse of the upcoming A45 AMG S in this clip, you will be disappointed, because the 3-pointed star is still keeping it a secret at the moment.
The updated A-Class is coming with a 1.6L 102 HP & 180 Nm of torque in the A160 entry-level variant. This is followed by the A180d BlueEFFICIENCY Edition, which has a 1.5l diesel under its hood, rated at 110 HP & 260 Nm of torque. The A220d has a 2.1L engine with 177 HP and the A250 Sport and A250 Sport 4MATIC is coming with 218 HP. The range-topping A45 AMG has been upgraded too and this is now more powerful than its predecessor and even than the Audi RS3 Sportback. The 2.0l four-cylinder turbocharged unit is capable of producing a total output of 381 HP (280 kW) and 475 Nm (351 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration now takes 4.2 seconds. No pricing details have been announced so far.
