A drag race between a Ferrari 458 Italia and a Nissan GT-R has been recently caught on camera and it may surprise you.
The Nissan GT-R has redefined performance and acceptable pricing when it was unveiled a few years back but did you ever wonder what it will be looking like going head to head against a Ferrari 458 Italia? Well, if so, you may have found your answer in the video posted below but be warned, don’t blink because you may miss the action.
Nissan has been producing the GT-R since 2007 in Japan and this is offered in a single body style, a 2-door coupe. The model has a front engine and all-wheel drive layout so it couldn’t be more different than its rival in the video. The sports car is packing a 3.8 liter twin turbo V6 engine under its hood, which is connected to the 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. The output depends from car to car because the engines have been produced manually and Nissan has updated them annually, but expect more than 500 HP.
The Ferrari 458 on the other hand has been in production since 2009 and it was dropped recently in favor for its replacement, the 488 GTB. The exotic ride has a rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout, being offered in two body styles, coupe and roadster. At its heart we can find the 4.5 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine, producing 562 HP (419 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque.
