Ferrari has released the first promo with its newest creation, the 458 Speciale Aperta, or simply “A”.
Officially unveiled during the 2014 Paris Motor Show, last week, the Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta is now being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of its first promotional video. The model in question is the convertible version of the 458 Speciale and it has been described as “the most aerodynamically efficient Ferrari spider ever”. The supercar has an aluminum retractable hard top which can be opened or closed in 14 seconds. The vehicle is riding on 5-spoke Grigio Corsa alloy wheels.
As far as the engine goes, the same 4.5 liter V8 naturally aspirated unit can be found under its hood taken from the 458 Speciale and also from the 458 Italia and 458 Spider. Power has been bumped to 605 HP and 540 Nm of torque. The supercar has gained 50 kg and it is now weighing 1,340 kg, after adding the roof mechanism. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the 458 Speciale A can accelerate in the same 3 seconds. Ferrari says that only 499 units of this model will be produced. No pricing details have been announced yet.
