Ferrari has released the first video with the brand new 458 Speciale, which will be officially presented to the public next month, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The Italian based automaker Ferrari is getting ready for the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, which will open its gates for the media on the 10th of September, and in order to place it into the spotlights once again, after it was unveiled just a few days ago, the carmaker has released the first video with its latest creation, the so-called 458 Speciale.
The styling of the new supercar has been shared with Pininfarina and the result is quite interesting. The Ferrari 458 Speciale weighs 1,290 kg (2,843 lbs) and it managed to lap the Fiorano test track 1.5 seconds than the regular 458 Italia, in 1 minute and 23.5 seconds. The supercar is fitted with an SSC (Side Slip Angle Control) system which can analyze the slip angle, compare it to a target figure and optimize the torque management through the traction control, in order to distribute it between the two rear wheels.
Power to the Ferrari 458 Speciale is being provided by a 4.5 liter V8 engine, which has been modified and it’s now good for 605 HP (445 kW) at 9,000 rpm and 540 Nm of torque (398 lb-ft), available at 6,000 rpm. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes 3 seconds and the 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) takes 9.1 seconds. No pricing details have been announced yet.
