An impressive drag race between two extremely different performance vehicles has been caught on camera recently.
On which car would you place your money in a drag race between a Ferrari 458 Speciale and a Tesla Model S P85D? Well, it’s pretty hard to say exactly because they might be extremely different but they are also extremely powerful and, in the end it all leads to the driver. We won’t be spoilers and tell you all about it because you have to scroll down and click the play button, but don’t forget to plug in your headphones first, because you will need them.
Tesla has pulled the wraps off the Model S P85D at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, in a premiere. It has an electric motor in the rear, rated at 470 HP, along with another electric motor in the front, producing 211 HP. The total output of the electric sedan stands at an impressive 691 HP (515 kW) and 930 Nm (687 lb-ft) of torque. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), this needs just 3.3 seconds. Top speed has been electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). The Ferrari 458 Speciale has been introduced a couple of years ago and it has been based on the 458 Italia. Its 4.5 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine has been upgraded and it is now rated at 605 HP (445 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration takes 3 seconds.
