Ferrari has been spotted recently filming the first promo of the recently unveiled 488 GTB. The supercar has been spotted on the streets of Italy so expect the official video out over the next few weeks. The Ferrari 488 GTB is the replacement of the 458 Italia. This is not a new generation but a simple facelift, similar to what the carmaker did to the California and California T. The 488 GTB has a similar design, a wider front spoiler, a new diffuser, new LED taillights, a bigger air intake and several other tweaks to make it instantly recognizable.
The Maranello based automaker has replaced the 4.5 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine with a new twin turbo 3.9 liter V8. This is the beginning of a new era for Ferrari which will bring more supercharged engines. The new unit is capable of putting down a total of 670 HP (493 kW) and 760 Nm (560 lb-ft) of torque. This is connected to the rear-wheel drive through a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, which is allowing the supercar to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3 seconds and to go all the way up to 330 km/h (205 mph). The Ferrari 488 GTB has been officially presented to the public, in a premiere, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, in early March.
