A drag race between a Ferrari 599 GTO and a Lamborghini Huracan has been caught on camera recently and it has an obvious winner.
Illegal drag races filmed on the highway at night should be all about modified Japanese vehicles but every once in a while, drivers of supercars are getting out of their comfort zone and putting their rides to work. The video posted below is showing a drag race between two hot but very different models, the Ferrari 599 GTO and the new Lamborghini Huracan.
The Ferrari 599 GTO is actually competing with the range-topping model from Lamborghini, the Aventador, but considering the fact that the successor of the Gallardo is already available for order, this is an interesting race with an even more interesting result. The 599 GTO is the range-topping version of the 599 GTB. This has been put together in 599 examples and it is packing a 6.0 liter V12 engine under its hood, which is capable of putting down no less than 661 HP (493 kW) and 620 Nm (460 lb-ft) of torque. It needs 3.3s to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) and it can go up to 335 km/h (208 mph). The Huracan on the other hand has a 5.2 liter V12 engine under its hood with 602 HP (449 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque. It can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.2s and top speed stands at 325 km/h (202 mph).
