A new version of the Ferrari California, equipped with a twin-turbo engine, has been recently spotted testing at Fiorano.
Good news for those of you looking for a practical Italian supercar with a powerful twin-turbo engine, because Ferrari is planning to launch such a model. The twin-turbo Ferrari California has been spotted testing at the Fiorano track and the video posted below might actually represent the next generation of the Ferrari California, equipped with a V8 engine, which is “dressed” with the same body as the current model in order not to draw a lot of attention.
Rumors are saying that the second generation of the Ferrari California will most likely be unveiled during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, in March, and the model will probably go on sale, across the Old Continent, in the second quarter of next year, and in the United States by the end of 2014. As a quick reminder, the regular California has been officially unveiled in 2008, during the Paris Motor Show. The model has a 4.3 liter gasoline direct injected engine, which is good for 450 HP, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration is done in 3.4 seconds and top speed stands at 310 km/h (193 mph).
