The Italian based automaker Ferrari has recently released a new official video with the 458 Italia drifting on a track in order to celebrate its 8-million fans on Facebook.
“The passion for Prancing Horse has reached great height: we are now over 8 millions!”, as Ferrari said on its official Facebook page.
In terms of Facebook fans, Ferrari has 8,000,000, Lamborghini has 3.2 million and Fisker Automotive just over 9,000 and what better way to celebrate social network success than by putting the 458 Italia on a track and making it drift.
As a small reminder, the Ferrari 458 Italia is a mid-engined sports car which is replacing the old Ferrari F430. The 458 Italia was officially presented to the public back in 2009, at the Frankfurt Motor Show and it’s powered by a 4.5 liter V8 engine, also shared with Maserati, which is producing a total output of 562 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 540 Nm available at 6,000 rpm. 80 percent of its torque is available from 3,250 rpm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission and the Ferrari 458 Italia has been designed by Pininfarina.
