The driver of this red-finished Ferrari LaFerrari has lost control of the wheel on a wet track and almost crashed his ride.
Taking a spin in an exotic ride is more difficult considering the amount of horsepower coming from underneath its hood and the rear-wheel drive. Add this to the wet road conditions and give a video camera to someone and you have a pretty good chance of filming yet another supercar crash. The clip posted below is showing a Ferrari LaFerrari completely spinning on the track after its driver lost control of the wheel. Happily, the rare and expensive ride hasn’t been crashed but this has been quite a close call.
The Ferrari LaFerrari is a hybrid supercar which has come to life in 2013, being unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, in a world premiere. The hypercar is the fastest and most powerful road-legal vehicle to have been born in Maranello up to date and it is being offered in a single body style, a two-door coupe, with the rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout. The vehicle stands at 4,702 mm in length, 1,992 mm in width and 1,116 mm in height, taking its power from a 6.3 litter mid mounted V12 engine and a KERS unit, producing a total output of 950 HP (708 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is connected to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), Ferrari is claiming that the LaFerrari needs less than 3 seconds and that the top speed stands at 350 km/h (217 mph).
