The hybrid hypercar looks astonishing with its roof down, and people have already had the pleasure of viewing the LaFerrari Aperta even ahead of the public unveiling scheduled for the Paris Motor Show.
This is because an example was used on the streets of Barcelona, Spain, where a few lucky bystanders caught it while filming a Ferrari video. The roadster was fully restrained because it was confined to the city limits but the low speed passes allowed the people to properly check out the amazing open top in a real world scenario. The LaFerrari is just as sexy as any Ferrari in coupe form, but the design truly shines when the carbon fiber roof comes down. And the driver gets to better listen to that wondrous V12 through the open roof.
While we’re still weeks ahead of the official public unveiling, it appears Ferrari has already sold the entire run – even though the LaFerrari Apertas will definitely cost much more than the coupe’s $1.35 million base price. This is because Ferrari has achieved wonders – it has the same aerodynamic performance as the coupe, almost identical torsional rigidity and the hybrid assisted 6.2-liter V12 with combined total power of 950 horsepower (708 kilowatts) and 664 pound-feet (900 Newton-meters) of torque.
