The Ferrari LaFerrari has proven to be slower on the Top Gear test track than the Pagani Huayra.
What is the difference between a Ferrari LaFerrari and a Pagani Huayra? Well, both of them are exotic cars, both are extremely expensive and both are fast. But the Italian hybrid vehicle is more powerful and more exclusive so we are pretty surprised to find out that it is actually slower on the Top Gear test track than the Pagani Huayra. You can see it in action in the clip posted below with Jason Plato from Fifth Gear behind the wheel.
The Ferrari LaFerrari has been shown back in 2013 and it is a hybrid supercar coming with a 6.3 liter V12 engine under its hood and an in-house developed KERS unit. The total output sent to the rear-wheel drive stands at a whopping 950 HP (708 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque, allowing it to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 3 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph). The Pagani Huayra on the other hand has been in production since 2012 and it is getting a 6.0 liter engine under its hood, signed by Mercedes-AMG, rated at 720 HP (539 kW) and 1,000 Nm (740 lb-ft) of torque. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), this needs 3.3 seconds and top speed stands at 370 km/h (230 mph).
