A drag race between two hypercars, the Ferrari LaFerrari and the Koenigsegg Agera, has been recently captured on camera.
Petrol heads from all over the world, gather around and grab a chair because you are about to witness two of the greatest hypercars money can buy these days go head to head in a drag race. We’re talking about the Koenigsegg Agera and the Ferrari LaFerrari. The two models have went up against each other but we won’t tell you anything more about the video because you have to see it for yourselves.
Koenigsegg has introduced the Agera back in 2011 and the vehicle remained in production until 2014. This was designed by Christian von Koenigsegg and it was offered in a 2-door targa top body style, with a rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout. It packed a 5.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine under its hood, rated at 940 HP (701 kW) and 1,100 Nm (810 lb-ft) of torque, available at 4,000 rpm. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) this needed 2.8s. Top speed stood at 420 km/h (260 mph).
The Ferrari LaFerrari on the other hand is a hybrid model, produced from 2013 and offered with a 2-door coupe body style and a rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout. This has a 6.3 liter V12 unit under its hood backed up by an electric motor, providing it with a total output of 950 HP (708 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. This needs less than 3s to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill and it can go up to 350 km/h (217 mph).
