Top Gear has released a teaser video with an epic battle between the three hot supercars of the time, the Ferrari LaFerrari, the McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918 Spyder.
One of the most awaited battles of supercars between the Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder is getting ready to hit the web as it has been put together by Top Gear Magazine. This will be available to iPad subscribers and rumor has it that a similar comparison will be made by Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond in the new Top Gear Season 22.
The Ferrari LaFerrari has been produced in 499 units, each one costing more than 1 million GBP. The supercar is offered in a two-door coupe body style, with a 6.3 liter V12 engine under its hood, backed up by an electric motor. The total output stands at 950 HP (708 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. It needs less than 3 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill and it can go up to 350 km/h (217 mph).
The McLaren P1 is far the most exclusive as it has been put together in 375 units. The supercar has a 2-door coupe body style too and a rear mid-engine, rear-wheel drive layout. The 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 is found under its hood, along with an electric motor. The assembly is good for 903 HP and 978 Nm of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes 2.8s and top speed has been electronically limited to 350 km/h (217 mph).
The Porsche 918 Spyder has been assembled in 918 units. This has a 2-door roadster body style, with a mid-engine and all-wheel drive. It packs a 4.6L V8 and two electric motors, for a total output of 887 HP (661 kW) and 1,275 Nm (940 lb-ft) of torque. The supercar needs 2.6s to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill and it will go all the way up to 340 km/h (210 mph).
